The Sky One 'science' series starring Jon Tickle, "Brainiac" , has returned for a second series.
Tonight's programme addressed such important things as
what happens to soap when you put it in a microwave";
how to make quicksand at the beach;
can a bunch of blokes re-enacting the American Civil War with muskets and cannons destroy a conventional 'black box' flight recorder?
can you make scrambled eggs in a tumble dryer?
etc.
It's science and therefore educational. So that's alright then ... Sky One, Thursdays at 20:00 for the next few weeks.

With Big Brother going strong again in the UK some people have been calling housemate Eugene "the new Jon Tickle". What nonsense! There is only one Jon Tickle, others are just pale imitations, not fit to tug on the hem of his dressing gown. You can still show support for Jon by visitng the "Jon Tickle - The Legend" shop here.

Once again, the Tickle sported the pages of glossy goss rag "OK". It's the July 20 2004 issue with Britney Spears on the front for any Tickle offianados wanting a copy for their collection.
If you can bear to flick past the photos of Jade Goody and David Beckham, there are some nice photos of Jon Tickle attending Jonny Regan's wedding to Joanne Llewellyn. Page 82 has a group shot with Jon towering majestically over the others from behind and on page 85 there's a big photo of Jon with Justine Sellman grimacing and clutching him. I scoured the rest of the magazine and there are only two pictures of Jon in the whole issue, which considering that OK promises "first for celebrity news" is quite a poor Tickle per page ratio for £2.

Jon is doing a once weekly column for the Digital Spy website here. It is, of course, one of the finest bits of journalism I've ever seen and manages to convey an in-depth knowlege of the BB mindset as well as being articulate, funny and informative. Jon points out that dressing gowns are now the standard house-wear in BB thanks to his influence. Big Brother 5 has started and we can confirm that JonTickle is not among the new housemates, not unless his makeup is really, really good. I did have my suspicians about the last housemate, but after 5 hours they still hadn't put a dressing gown on, sop it can't be Jon in disguise.
Jon WILL be appearing on Big Brother's Little Brother at some point this series, we'll keep you posted.....

With Big Brother starting again on Friday, Jon is in the news again. A channel 4 show on Big Brother highlights is using him in it's trailer and he's getting quoted in loads of magazines and newspapers.
Davina McCall is quoted as saying "'Jon Tickle was hysterical. The way he was heating up the water to go in to the swimming pool was very funny.
'All his moments were genius."

Jon was quoted by quite a few papers today in response to a poll that showed Big Brother and reality shows like it rot the mind.....
The former Big Brother contestant Jon Tickle, a physics graduate, dismissed the poll with a challenge to the show’s detractors to watch it and learn. “Here is a show that demonstrates the different facets of British culture, where you get a real sense of what makes people tick, where everything is stripped bare. I think academics should watch Big Brother. It would be an education for them.”

BRAINIAC - REVIEW- Wow, Brainiac was brilliant. Jon's enthusiasm for all things scientific shines through and I found myself wanting to wear a white laboratory coat and experiment with things almost immediately. Despite claims he does not feel comfortable as "a presenter", Jon shone on BRAINIAC tonight, I fully expect the show to be an instant worldwide hit and propel Mr Tickle to even further fame and fortune. Well done Jon!
The shows content was good, wacky experiments and stuff. Jon had a co-presenter, some bloke from Top Gear that lacked Jon's enthusiasm for the whole thing. Personally, I'd like to see Jon host the show on his own. Then again, I'd like to see Jon host every TV show on his own, 24 hour Tickle on every channel, just imagine.......

Brainac:Science Abuse is to include hooking someone up to a generator and seeing if they can make a lightbulb that is stuck in their mouth light up, filling an entire reservoir with jelly and then cycling across it, and other laboratory havoc. Brainiac is repeated on Friday at 8pm on Sky One Mix.

Jon's agent now has a listing for him on the princess clients site. It reads -

HOT NEWS!! Despite internet rumours that Eddie Izzard was to play the new Doctor Who in Russell T. Davies BBC series revival, this is not true, it was apparently just a throwaway comment by ex-Dr Who Tom Baker.
The only REAL choice for the new Dr Who is the man with the magic dressing gown, yes, Mr Jon Tickle should be the new Dr Who. Insider info tells us he HAS been mentioned during script meetings and we at "Jon Tickle - The Legend" firmly believe Jon would make a perfect Dr Who.
No confirmed BBC contract has yet been signed but it can only be a matter of TIME before it is definate.

Jon was with Nush Nowak when she was mugged at around 4am yesterday.
Jon, Scott Turner (now Nush's boyfriend, who'd have thought?) and Nush were heading home from a BB reunion at a pub in Islington. It was a particularly swift and violent attack, the mugger (described by the police as "black and in his 20s") pushed her to the ground when she tried to stop him snatching her handbag. The fall broke both her thigh and kneecap. The mugger jumped in a car and sped off before Jon or Scott could catch him. Both were said to be "devasted" afterwards at not being able to stop the mugging.
It's terrible to think you are not even safe with Jon Tickle at your side, what is the world coming to? Everyone at the Jon Tickle The Legend website would like to send their best wishes and hopes of a speedy recovery to Nush.

After thinking about it for a considerable amount of time, Jon has decided to go ahead with doing a spot as a guest host on the new Sky TV science show BRAINIAC
.
Jon will conduct experiments on the "anarchic" new show for Sky One which launches in the autumn.
Brainiac is aimed at making science more fun with stunts that viewers can pull off at home.
Station controller Sara Ramsden said "He took a while deciding whether he wanted to get into telly or not and he has decided this feeds his interests.
....I just loved watching him on Big Brother and we thought he might be suitable when he started getting more and more popular and realised how bright he was.....
We started chatting to him as soon as he came out of the house. It's going to be a completely anarchic show. It will be things like putting various chemicals down a toilet to make it erupt like Mount Vesuvius."
Jon still intends on returning to his job at British Gas, but is on an extended leave while he considers his future, fights off hordes of adoring fans and catches up on the Star Wars novels he missed while inside the Big Brother House.
